Located just outside of Rutland and Burlington, this luxury resort and spa boasts five-star accommodations as well as an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., who was also responsible for designing Augusta National Golf Club (home course of The Masters). You can also enjoy fine dining at their restaurant or relax with a cocktail at their bar before heading out onto one of their many trails through woodlands, meadows, ponds, and streams that surround this beautiful property.

Wente Vineyards, California
Wente Vineyards is a family-owned winery in the Livermore Valley of California. The winery was founded in 1883 by Jacob Beringer and Jacob Wente, who immigrated to America from Germany. It is one of the oldest continuously operating family-owned wineries in California. Wente Vineyards produces about 50 different varietals, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon wines from its 1,200 acres (490 hectares) of vineyards located across three sites.
Hotel Clendenin, West Virginia
If you’re looking for a weekend getaway that’s not too far from home and offers a unique experience, consider Hotel Clendenin in Clendenin, West Virginia. The park is located in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains and encompasses thousands of acres filled with trees, waterfalls, and wildlife. Visitors can hike through nature trails or take scenic drives through the park’s many valleys (or “gorges” as they’re called). If you want even more adventure than just hiking or driving around then consider taking on some challenging rock-climbing routes!
